About

My name is Janne. I was born in 1991 and I’ve been a gamer since I was less than 7 years old. I’ve also been a hobby programmer from around 2005, and a professional one since 2013.
The first online multiplayer game I played was probably RuneScape Classic (2001) – the one that makes Old School RuneScape look like the new RuneScape. Soon after, I was introduced to Counter-Strike 1.5 (2002) and World of Warcraft (2004), which is how I got into programming: I discovered I could make changes to WoW by writing “addons” in a programming language called Lua.
I’ve played all kinds of online multiplayer games since then, and communication has always been important. But it hasn’t always been as easy or convenient as I would have liked – often, games and apps lacked communication features I’d grown used to.
I made AutoPTT to help with those shortcomings. To make communication as easy as possible, with all the common features (and more!) always available.
